Our new house warranty is designed for builders and developers building or converting properties to sell. Protek is a Consumer Code For New Homes user. This means that consumers purchasing a new build house from a Protek registered housebuilder can do so in the knowledge that they are buying their new home from a reputable house builder. Our registered developers will also be a Consumer Code For New Homes user which means they must meet standards for the provision of good customer service with fair sales processes. To be eligible for the scheme, builders and developers must apply to and be accepted on the Protek register. It is a fast process and completely free.
The cover provided protects the Policyholder in the event the property suffers physical damage or the risk of physical damage as a result of a defect in the design, workmanship, or components of the home. Unlike an architects certificate, the policy responds directly as there is no professional negligence to prove, making it a much more secure option. The product will note the interest of any lender. Automatic successor in title is a standard feature of the cover allowing the benefit of the policy to be transferred to the new owner for a period of 10 years.
